My Idle Dance Class

“Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around.
Henry David Thoreau

The clearer one is about ones own views and beliefs, the happier and successful will one lead his life. To begin with my belief is just an assumption of how I would expect to lead my life, or even expect the world to lead. My belief is if you think you can, you will. If you think you cant, you just need to try a little harder.
I am a strong and a firm believer of believing I can. My values could help me change my outlook, method or technique in terms of getting closer to my belief.
Marden very rightly said “how much our thoughts influences the outcomes of our life”
The basic principles of my dance class would be having a clear class concept, with cohesive, and logical progression. Being able to present the assessable content to the class.
Preparing the class to be aware of their space and surroundings. A lot depends on the way the body moves in or within the space provided. As a teacher it is my duty to make sure that the space provided is clean and safe. Also, do want to remember to be visible to all my students, therefore even if needing to face different sides/walls of the class.
Having a constant growth and progress in the class, a clear development. Therefore having me to focus on the time and the class structure. I do not wish to rush through any of my lesson or even take my sweet time and therefore have no progression. Along with keeping the time of the class in my mind, I am also working on having to create a required tempo and beat, which means to dance on time. To feel the clock through dance moves.
Not only to grow with class progression, but also build up relationships with the other fellow classmates and the teacher/instructor. To shape up be more understanding and less judgmental. Learning to be more appreciative and respectful.
Discovering one-self. Stages in our life when we not really know how and what is right for us. Dance plays and important role there, in helping us to discover our-self, and knowing more and hence making us closer to our body. Consequently helping us to know the needs of what our body wants? Dance in my class would not be a constant conquest but an achievement towards development and strengthening.
The dance class would have enough practice time, for the exercise and to rehearsal. This is so that the class does not feel rushed through. If needed the lesson will also be adjusted and adapted for special students. This is not to lesson their challenge but instead to make more room for them to cover the task. Special guidance and assistance would also be taken in consideration by the para-professionals in needed.
Finally the class is complete providing the students with positive and corrective feedbacks. Making sure that no child is left behind (NCLB)*** and felt as secure as any other student in the class.
